- Saffron thread a pinch
- Boiling water 2/3cup
- Flour 2cup
- Salt 1/2tsp
- Rapid Rise Dried yeast: 1tsp
- Olive oil tbsp
- Garlic cloves 2sliced
- Red onion 1 then cut into thin wedges rosemary sprigs
- Black Olives 12, pitted and coarsely (chopped)
- Olive oil 1tbsp
In the first step you need to place saffron in a cup or glass and insert the boiling water in leave to stand and infuse until lukewarm.
And then place the flour, salt, yeast and olive oil in a food processor. Turn on and gradually add the saffron and its liquid. Processor until the dough forms and then brings it out on plate.
Knead it for a while through your hands and cover it for a short time and rest your pretty hands till the dough Doubles.
Punch down the risen dough on a lightly flour surface and roll out into round or oval shape, 1/2inch. Then place on a lightly greased baking sheet and leave to rise for 20-30 minutes.
Preheated the oven to 400f. Press small indentation all over the surface of the Focaccia with your finger.
Â Cover with the topping ingredients, brush lightly with olive oil, and bake for 25minuts or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. Leave to cool on a wire rack. And then serve the delicious Saffron Focaccia.
