Healthy Hair in Summer!

Garnier-brand-ambassador-in-Pakistan-is-Juggan-Kazim-480x238It has been seen that most individuals pay a lot of attention to skin care during summer but hair care always takes the last bench. It is important to note that hair care is equally necessary as skin care in summer. The bright sun or chlorine from the swimming pool or sand from the beach is disastrous for good looking hair.

Here are a few tips on how you can have shiny & healthy hair even in summer:

Wash your Hair Daily
Though having head bath daily is good for the hair, it is essential that you use lukewarm water. Never use hot water as hot water damages your hair while lukewarm water opens the pores in the scalp and prevents the hair from becoming dry and brittle

Do not add extra heat
It is advised that you do not subject your hair to additional external heat by using hair dryers to dry your wet hair or curlers and straightener’s to style your hair. If using these treatments is protein-treatment-for-beautiful-hair-2unavoidable, it is necessary that you condition your hair so that it retains the moisture in the hair.

Cover your hair
Avoid the damages that are caused due to the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun by covering your hair with a wide brimmed hat or a scarf whenever you go out in the sun. If a hat/scarf is not within reach, at least tie a pony tail or bands and plats to protect your hair from the damages caused due to sun however tying the hair will not protect the outer layer

Avoid swimming pools
Though it may seem quite tempting to relax in a swimming pool it is necessary to take care of your tresses as chlorine dries the hair and makes it brittle.

Dampen your hair before entering the pool as wet hair does not allow much chlorine to be absorbed into the hair. Wearing a swim cap is another effective way to protect your strands

Drink plenty of water
It is important that you drink plenty of water in summers to keep yourself hydrated. Dehydration leads to unhealthy hair which leads to hair fall and breakage.

Trim your hair
Trim your hair every month as it prevents split ends and also helps in getting rid of damaged hair that eventually affects the hair roots. Short hairstyle is one of the best options to adopt during summers. Short hair is easy to maintain in summers and does not require much of extra care.

healthy HairHome Remedies for healthy hair:

  2. Mix one 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel to coconut oil and massage it gently all over your hair and leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash your hair with lukewarm water. A combination of aloe vera and oil moisturizes the hair and makes it soft and shining
