Chef Gulzar Hussain is a well-known celebrity Chef who does not need any introduction. His [email protected] Cooking Shows are hugely popular and his out-of-the-box recipes keep the viewers glued to their TV screens. Recently, an interesting interview was taken by MAG.
Did you always wanted to become a professional chef?
Well… I always had a keen interest in cooking, but I never thought as a kid that I would make a career out of it.
What’s your fondest food memory?
I remember when I was a child, I used to help my mother in cooking. We have a huge family set-up and it’s our tradition to cook everything ourselves. Once I made Madrasi pulao with my mother and everybody enjoyed it a lot, so that food memory is very close to my heart.
What do you like to cook for your family?
Well… my family really enjoys my steaks and pasta, so I mostly prepare it for them.
Would you like to give any tip to all the novice cooks out there?
If you have an interest in cooking, then you should definitely take it up as a career. The work is interesting and the money is really good. But it’s really important to get the basic training, once you get that then you can also go abroad for further training.
