Carrot A Winter Special Vegetable Cure of Several Ailments!

Carrot, which is a healthy diet and energy drink, contains rich vitamin and mineral contents, besides other valuable nutrients.

Doctors and health experts highlighting the effectiveness of carrot have declared it “apple” for the people having meager resources. Dr. Mian Iftikhar, a Medical Specialist, said that carrot especially its juice, is better for stomach and gastrointestinal health, which also solves a variety of digestive problems. He said the vegetable-cum-fruit is useful in different cases like stomach disorder, peptic ulcers, gastritis, crohn’s disease (chronic inflammatory disease affecting the whole of the alimentary tract), diarrhoea, celiac disease (defective digestion found in children).

He said carrot juice, combined with spinach and a little lemon juice, is very effective in the treatment of constipation. The juice cleanses the bowels, he said and added that this effect could not be expected soon after taking the juice but within two months, the bowel starts emptying regularly.

Family Physician Dr. Syed Hasnain Ali Johar, said appropriate use of carrot is helpful in fighting obesity, poisoning of the blood, gum disease, insomnia, inflamed kidney, liver, gallbladder, Alzheimer’s disease, colitis, ulcer and painful urination. He said it is an excellent source of pro-vitamin A, vitamins C, D, E, K, B1 and B6, adding that carrot is also rich with biotin, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, organic sodium and some trace minerals.

The doctor said carrot can enhance the quality of mother’s milk, improving the appearance of skin, hair and nails. He said the carrot soup has been found an effective natural remedy for diarrhoea, which supplies fluid to combat dehydration, replenishes sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sulfur and magnesium.

Beat the Heat With Perfect Pasta Recipe!

The wise person always change their diet plan according to the season to make their self refreshingly in a winter season chai /Tea is a most demandable drink but in summer chilled juices and drinks is an ideal source for refreshing. But it doesn’t mean that chilled juices and drinks is only source today I will describe another source that is helpful for beating the heat.
Yes!! It is the recipe of pasta that really beat the heat & gives you refreshment this particular recipe will takes 10 minutes from start to finish. (The trick is to take all the ingredients out before hand so you’re not running around the kitchen gathering everything), and believe me, it’s very easy & quick as well.
The great thing about pasta is that it can be eaten warm or cold; so on those dreadful summer days when load shedding is at its best, you can still eat a decent meal without taking out the pots and pans to reheat it. This pasta is great on its own or with a slice of garlic bread and is the perfect lunch for any day!

For Pepper Pasta

• 1 ½ cups fettuccini
• 1 bell pepper
• 1 tomato
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 1 tablespoon oil
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon mayo
• 1 teaspoon mustard paste
• 1 teaspoon barbeque sauce
• 3 tablespoons cream
• ½ teaspoon each of crushed red peppers and black pepper

(Serves 2-3 people)

1. Boil water in a saucepan and add the fettuccini. While that’s boiling, thinly slice the tomato and bell pepper, and chop the garlic. Heat the oil in a pan and add the garlic and bell peppers. Add the soy sauce and sauté on high heat for two minutes (make sure the exhaust is on or everyone in your house will be coughing like crazy) and remove the pan from the heat.
2. Add the mayo, mustard paste and barbeque sauce and mix till the sauce is smooth. Now put the pan back on a medium flame and add the tomatoes and cream. By now the pasta will be done so drain it and quickly add it to the pan (don’t drain the pasta completely; it helps keep the sauce from drying out).
3. Now all you have to do is sprinkle over the crushed pepper and black pepper, toss everything around, and put in a plate and eat it right away.
4. I usually don’t fuss about decorating my food like carving our carrot leaves or tomato roses, but I do make an effort to make my food look good, so garnish it with a sprig of coriander and dish it out in a nice plate and it’ll taste so much better, because what looks good tastes good too!

Saffron Focaccia is a very easy and quick recipe. Note down some ingredients that are required for the preparation of Saffron Focaccia and then look down steps for the quick and easy preparation of Saffron Focaccia.


  • Saffron thread a pinch
  • Boiling water 2/3cup
  • Flour 2cup
  • Salt 1/2tsp
  • Rapid Rise Dried yeast: 1tsp
  • Olive oil tbsp

For Topping

  • Garlic cloves 2sliced
  • Red onion 1 then cut into thin wedges rosemary sprigs
  • Black Olives 12, pitted and coarsely (chopped)
  • Olive oil 1tbsp

In the first step you need to place saffron in a cup or glass and insert the boiling water in leave to stand and infuse until lukewarm.


And then place the flour, salt, yeast and olive oil in a food processor. Turn on and gradually add the saffron and its liquid. Processor until the dough forms and then brings it out on plate.

Knead it for a while through your hands and cover it for a short time and rest your pretty hands till the dough Doubles.


Punch down the risen dough on a lightly flour surface and roll out into round or oval shape, 1/2inch. Then place on a lightly greased baking sheet and leave to rise for 20-30 minutes.
